Some important safety points: - Keep the molten pewter away from water. Water will cause it to explode, just like when you deep fry something in boiling oil. So make sure your mold is always dry.
- Whatever pot you use, the handle can get extremely hot! Make sure you have a pot with a handle that can take the heat (handle the heat :p). Wood or plastic handles probably won't do. Also make sure to protect your hand from the hot handle.
